Riad & Riad successfully completed transferring the workforce of one of world’s largest visa outsourcing and technology services companies in Egypt

R&R has successfully completed transfer of the workforce of one of the world’s largest visa outsourcing and technology services companies in Egypt. The transfer of the company’s staff took place as part of a business restructuring decision inside the Group companies.

Our participation started at the early beginning of the project as we thoroughly provided the client with the following assistance:

  • Provide meticulous advice on the legal implications of the transfer including any employer’s termination liability, end of service payments, settlement of annual leaves and employee’s restrictive covenants.
  • Prepare a detailed transfer plan in close collaboration with the client’s management team (corporate, financial, legal and HR).
  • Holding individual meetings with employees to explain the project, answer legal questions and sign transfer documents.
  • Drafting and preparing the documents required for the transfer.
  • Register and de-register the relevant companies in the Social Insurance System.
  • Execute the transfer from the transferor employer to the transferee and settling all outstanding payments and liabilities on both companies.

This task involved frequent daily visits and coordination with Social Insurance Offices across Egypt (i.e. in the cities of Cairo, Alexandria, Suez, Port-Said, Tanta, Damietta, Minia and Bani-Souif).

Our team in this project was headed by Partner Dr. Eman Riad with other team members Toaa Alaa, Ahmed Magdy and Mohamed Abdel-Magid.
