Seminar on Investment Law to Japanese Business Community in Egypt

Our partner Dr. Eman Riad delivered a presentation to the Japanese investors and businessmen in relation to the recent incentives under the Investment Laws in Egypt. The meeting was attended by the Japanese ambassador to Egypt, representative of the Japanese commercial delegates and business associations.

The presentation discussed the recent legislative reforms and government’s endeavors to encourage investment, attract foreign currency, and generate employment opportunities. The discussions covered the recent incentives decided for investors, the amendments to private free-zone companies and the granting of golden licenses for strategic projects in Egypt.

It is worth mentioning that the value of Japanese investments in Egypt increased in 2022 by 98.7% to reach $73.7 million as compared to $37.1 million in the previous year. According to the data issued by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics, the volume of trade between the two countries dipped by 26.3 percent to $1.1 billion in 2022.
