R&R Advises the Chinese Consortium to Build the USD 1.2 billion Salam-10th of Ramadan Railway Project

Riad & Riad is appointed as the local legal counsel for the consortium of China Railway Group Limited and AVIC International Holding Corporation in relation to the 10th of Ramadan Railway Project (“Project”).

The Project involves the building of an electric rail line linking Salam City with Tenth of Ramadan City and the new Administration Capital with an estimate cost is $1.2 billion.

R&R advises the consortium on the EPC contract with National Authority Tunnels as well as the construction agreements with the subcontractors. The subcontractors consist of a consortium of Egyptian construction firms, including the Holding Company for Roads, Bridges and Land Transportation Projects and Orascom Construction.

R&R also advises the consortium in all corporate law and day to day commercial and legal procedural matters.
