Eman is a founding partner at Riad & Riad Law Firm and lecturer of law at the Faculty of Law, Cairo University in Egypt. She teaches courses in labor and employment law, online and gig work, and social security law.

Eman is specialized in general corporate, commercial contracts, life sciences, media & IT laws, data protection and privacy, labor and employment, and social security laws.

She has been practicing law in Egypt for more than (18) years in top tier law firms. During her work experience, Eman has handled the day to day legal work for multiple multi-national and local companies.

Eman has unique experience in providing labor & employment legal advice, negotiating redundancies and collective bargaining agreements, handling employees’ transfers, handling complex employment disputes, drafting restrictive covenants undertakings. She tactically handles internal investigations and amicable settlements with senior employees.

Eman is an author of a number of textbooks and articles relating to employment & labor relationships, transfer of employees (TUPE), and employment in the sharing and Gig economy in Egypt. Her publications include the following:

  • Latest Developments In The Labor Law In Light Of Digital Transformation - Published in Al-Maal Newspaper in 2021
  • Co-author of the Global Legal Insights: Employment & Labor Report, 2020 (an edition provided an overview of key topics within the area of employment and labour laws in Egypt).
  • The Legislations of Co-operatives in Egypt (elaborating the international principles of cooperatives adopted by the International Cooperative Alliance (ICA) and the legal framework for cooperatives in Egypt). Textbook (160) pages, published in 2020.
  • Labor Law Treatise (commentary on the Egyptian Labor Law No. 12/2003), textbook (360) pages, published in 2017.
  • The Consequences of Business Transfers on Employment Relations (comparative study between the UK TUPE, EU Directives and the Egyptian laws) , textbook (400) pages, published in 2016.
